La Wanda Moorer works for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, as director of human resources (HR) and a member of the company’s Advanced Development Programs Line of Business Leadership team. Her responsibilities include managing human capital and critical HR initiatives, as well as developing a long-term HR vision. She works alongside Lockheed Martin leadership to maximize the value of people-focused solutions at major sites in Texas, California, and Georgia.
Ms. Moorer has held numerous HR leadership positions with Lockheed Martin companies during her 30 years of service with the company. Before moving to Fort Worth, she spent a combined five years at three Lockheed Martin organizations in Maryland and Virginia. Her success in these roles earned her accolades, including the Evening of Excellence Award for Leadership. Her previous positions include director of HR compliance at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in Sunnyvale, California, and senior HR manager for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in New Orleans.
Ms. Moorer is a member of the State Bar of California. She holds a juris doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, with a specialization in labor and employment law, as well as an English degree from Santa Clara University. She has also completed professional training, including the Lockheed Martin Human Resources Leadership Development Program.
